Our member Dayseaday is working on two major construction projects to enable further growth. Both at the current location on Vliestroom and at the new business park Port of Urk, preparations are being made for new construction.
On the Vliestroom, Dayseaday Production, the salmon production company of brothers Jelle and Henk van Veen is expanding with 2,000 square meters of additional production space, including new offices and storage. This will more than triple the production floor. Construction work is scheduled to start in early 2026.
In addition, Dayseaday has submitted plans to the municipality of Urk for the construction of a double coldstore at Port of Urk. On a 20,000-square-meter site, there should be space for a total of 10,000 pallet spaces: one for Dayseaday Frozen and one for subsidiary Bonesca.
With these expansions, the family business is responding to the growing demand for efficient production and storage capacity within the fish industry. Meanwhile, the second generation Van Veen is preparing to gradually take over more management tasks within the company.
