In 2023, Visscher Seafood Group acquired the trading operations of the Norwegian company Norwegian Seafood AS. As a result of this transaction, they therefore announced on May 6, 2025 that the name of Visscher Seafood Group will be changed to Norwegian Seafood.
The Norwegian division of Visscher Seafood Group currently represents more than 60% of total revenues, and more than 90% of raw materials come from Norway. “This feels like the perfect time to adopt this powerful name company-wide,” appoints CEO Tim Brouwer. The move to change the name is also an important milestone in the goal of Visscher Seafood Group and Norwegian Seafood to create one unified, strong company with a clear identity and purpose.
