Urk Seafood looks back on a successful trade mission to Alaska. At the invitation of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), a delegation of member companies spent several days in this American state, where they met potential suppliers and further strengthened existing contacts.
Present on behalf of Urk were representatives from Kramers Seafood, Dayseaday, Korf Vis and Neerlandia. From Urk Seafood, Rein Brands participated in the program.
An important outcome of the mission is the partnership Urk Seafood entered into with GAPP, the organization behind the promotion of Alaska Pollack. This new connection fits within Urk Seafood’s broader strategy of building sustainable relationships within the seafood supply chain worldwide.
The trade mission once again emphasizes the international orientation of Urk’s fish sector. Thanks to the strong network of member companies and partners such as ASMI, Urk is becoming increasingly visible on the world stage as a leading European fish gateway.
